Something else to worry about...

Biowar for Dummies

From the article:

Comments:
I like to point out to people that, every day, several millions of people drive gigantic metal things and push them at over 60 miles per hour at each other, barely missing each other, separated by only a couple feet distance.

The extraordinary technology that allows us to do this? A little yellow line in the middle of the road, and a lot of common sense.

Granted, it doesn't always work perfectly, and we can't really afford many nano-technology accidents.

But it should give us hope.

I think the real danger for bio-terror is from the industrialized world against the third world. Say a right wing funded group that engineers a deadly bird-flu variant, treatable in the west, maybe even genome targeted that sweeps through the equtorial countries of Asia, Middle East, Africa and South America killing a billion or more. The world can claim the bird-flu mutated, what a shame. What is a Palestinian problem when there are no Palestinians left, as Isreal sits behind it's wall? Seems like the world is being prepared for this now, as a mutation is 'inevitable'.
